"I had pre-admission testing today in preparation for surgery. Two hours of being told how healthy I am by the nurse, pharmacist and doctor. Yet, very soon, I will be losing a part of my body because of cancer. Usually when people have surgery, they're relieved because they're in pain or something is causing them to have difficulty functioning. This is different because I feel fine and know that afterward, my body is going to be permanently altered and I won't feel any better physically. My brain has a very hard time coming to terms with all of this. I tried to go to work after the appointment, but I couldn't stop crying. I went home and found a package on my door from "Rose Robin." I opened up the box and cried even more but these tears were different. Being gifted this box reminded me that I AM brave, and strong, and beautiful, and loved. But most importantly, I am not alone. We all share in each other's pain and sorrow, and in our joy and celebration when we are finally Cancer- Free!  Thank you, Rose Robin Box!  Your gift brought happiness to my heart on a day when I needed it the most."

 "Oh my word, thank you SO much!! I run a larger, local non-profit, and deal with significant crisis and individuals in trauma pretty much every day. So making the decision to go forward with surgery was an easy, sound, strategic move.
