We are four sisters from Minnesota, and in 2021 we created Rose Robin Box to offer love and support to women facing mastectomy surgery. After walking beside our own mother and sister through their diagnoses and surgeries, and ultimately losing our mom to breast cancer, we know this journey all too well. Like so many others, our lives have been dramatically altered by the impacts of breast cancer. While our nonprofit was founded in memory of our mom, and her spirit of love and selflessness remains our inspiration, it is not about us. Rose Robin Box is about every brave, courageous woman who is fighting this battle right now -- their faces, their stories, and their journeys are what motivate us. To keep the spotlight on these women, we try to maintain a level of anonymity. We are humbled by our generous donors and thank you for supporting this mission!
Whether a required step as part of a breast cancer battle or a difficult choice made to reduce a woman's risk, mastectomy surgery is overwhelming. It requires immense bravery and strength, often affecting women mentally and emotionally in addition to the physical changes they undergo. Women who face mastectomy surgery may feel a great sense of loss, and they often feel alone.
Our Rose Robin Box items are thoughtfully selected with mastectomy recovery in mind, and along with the encouragement that accompanies them, our boxes are a meaningful way to walk beside women on this journey.
